A Safe Workplace
Every business is required under government workplace health and safety legislation to maintain all electrical appliances and equipment to a safe standard. And that's all electrical equipment that 'plugs-in'. Testing must done regularly by an approved electrical testing and tagging company.
As a business operator, owner or manager, you have a responsibility to ensure the workplace is safe for people who work there as well as visitors.
What has to be tested
Any electrical equipment or appliance that 'plugs-in'. This includes:

- monitors
- printers
- fax machines
- photo copiers
- desk and floor lamps
- kettles, microwaves and other 'lunchroom' appliances
- power tools
- audio visual equipment
- air conditioners, fans, heaters
- extension leads
- power boards
- residual current devices (RCD) - safety switches
